How far in advance should I schedule my move with your company? Is a Deposit required?
We accept moving reservations 24 hours a day, 7 days a week! However, when booking within a 24 hour period of your move start time, there is a mandatory 4-hour minimum of your calculated hourly rate.
Yes, during your consultation we will calculate your hourly rate and minimum hourly to book. In order to lock in your moving reservation, 50% of your minimum will be due at the time of booking. The remaining balance will be due at the immediate completion of your move!
What services do you offer for packing and unpacking?

Can you provide a detailed estimate of the cost of my move?
In most cases, we are able to provide a precise estimate based on information gathered during your consultation! To receive the most accurate estimate, we suggest scheduling an in-home estimate.
What happens if my move goes over my estimated time?
In the event your move exceeds the estimated time, you are then charged at the hourly rate quoted for your move. One thing to note is that we charge by the quarter hour.
Are there any items that you do not transport?
Yes! We do not transport hazardous items, such as chemicals, gasoline, bio-hazardous items, Grand Pianos, soiled items, & pets. Should you need these items moved, there will be a waiver of liability form you must sign as well as an additional Hazard Fee (calculated at the time of consultation).
Do you offer insurance coverage for my belongings during the move?
Yes! We are equipped with a 1 Million dollar policy which covers our PROS while in your home, your items while in our cargo truck, as well as the items while they’re in transit!

What measures do you take to ensure the safety and security of my belongings during the move?
We offer Padding & Wrapping with each and every move and item! Each moving reservation comes with (1) roll of wrap and we supply all the necessary blankets! Once the truck is packed we use an industrial lock on the cargo door and it stays locked until we arrive with our clients at their designated unloading location! As an extra measure, we share our location with our clients so that they are able to track our arrival in real time!
Do you have any hidden fees or extra charges that I should be aware of?
Absolutely not! During your consultation, you will be made aware of every charge associated with your move! We send your invoice outlining all services that will be rendered and those are the only charges that will be assessed unless additional services are requested.
What is your policy in case of delays/changes in the moving schedule? Or if I should need to cancel?
In the event of a moving delay on the client's behalf, we remain on the clock at the hourly rate. Should there be a delay caused by MAYFIELD MOVING, we will pause the clock at the start of the delay. It will then resume once the delay has been addressed.
If moving reservations are cancelled within a 24-hour period of your start time, your deposit becomes non-refundable! Moving cancelations with a notice greater than the 24-hour period will be eligible for a full refund!
